Tokyo, July 4, 2012, Turbo Systems Co., Ltd. (Shinagawa, Tokyo, Taniguchi Go President & CEO) today announced the worldwide release of the new lineup "GANG.PRODUCTS".
GANG.PRODUCTS is composed of high-performance libraries that concentrate technologies originally developed by Turbo Systems.
You can freely pick and choose the parts you need, as if they were toy components or "Gang" (玩具) in Japanese, and easily build a functional and high quality systems with less time and for less cost.
For even further flexibility, Turbo Systems can work with you for further customizations and extensions.

◆GANG TRANSCODER
The GANG TRANSCODER will transcode video files to a suitable sizes for smartphones, tablets, or STBs using a standard PC and without any expensive special purpose equipment. By making full use of the the newest line of Intel GPU's, realtime and simultaneous encoding of up to six full HD video streams is possible.*1
*1 Stats based on Intel(R) CoreTM i7 and broadcast TV digital contents (1440x1080) transcoded to 1920x1080 H.264.
◆GANG CAST
GANG CAST is a streaming server solution that supports RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) and HLS (HTTP Live Streaming).*2 It is designed to handle multicast streaming for HLS and RTSP streams to various client devices such as tablets, smart phones, and STBs.
With true multicast streaming, streams can be tailored exactly to each receiving device and reduce network load.
*2 HLS is an HTTP based media streaming protocol backed by Apple Inc. that is supported in iOS 3.X or higher, by Android 4.X or higher, and by the GANG.BROWSER (HTML5 based browser).
◆GANG BROWSER
GANG BROWSER is a Webkit-Chromium based HTML5 browser for Android tuned by Turbo Systems.
Chromium is the OSS project adopted for the Google Chrome Browser.
GANG BROWSER utilizes the Webkit Engine, is optimized for HTML5, supports HLS (HTTP Live Streaming), buffering of RTP/RTSP, is equipped with error correction, and has superior quality when it comes to displaying Japanese content. A great point is that it's very flexible and customizable to almost any system.
For example embedding in other applications and optimization of the various HTML5 tags are possible.

◆GANG PLUGIN
GANG PLUGINs are plugin modules for the Android web browser.
The first phase consists of plugins for the Felica / NFS Reader / Writer and another for VHF tuners.
These modules makes use of the Android 3.X (or higher) USB Host functionality in commercial tablet devices.
Simply connect the Felica / NFC Reader / Write or VHF Lo/Hi tuner to the USB host-controller and install the appropriate GANG.PLUGIN and these functions are made available to web applications.
Transform your device into a rich device by simply adding the modules.
◆GANG DTV
GANG DTV is composed of a collection of libraries that adhere to the ARIB television standard*3 used for digital TV solutions in Japan. In includes libraries for ISDB-T (digital terrestrial broadcasting) and ISDB-S (digital satellite broadcasting), and includes the middleware for DTB.
As an optional extra, rich user interfaces with OpenGL and web browser support GL are available too, so GANG DTV works for the set top box, the TV receiver, and as a great living room solution.
